She is survived by: her daughter Cathy Millsaps Layfield (Paul); her grandson Jeremiah Layfield; her sisters, Lucille Burgess (Ray), Helen Lawrence and Lillian Hayes; and her sisters-in-law, Linda and Ruth Hayes.
