He was predeceased by: his wife Hilda Nance; his parents, Junior David and Anna Smith Nance; his son Roger Dale Nance; and his siblings, Betty Ledford, Jack Nance, Judy Pressley, Clyde Nance, Les Nance, Bobby Nance, Dorothy Killian, Sue Frye and Roy "Shorty" Nance.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Dillon Setzer, Kayla Jones, Jacob Nance, Will Nance, Masson Nance, Brandon Anderson, Crystal Nance and Daniel Nance; his great grandchildren, River Anderson, Brenden Trull, Cooper Riese and Creighton Riese; his children, Kelly Jones (Allen) and Jonathan Nance (Monika); and his stepson Stephen David Teague (Paula).
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Alexander Funeral Service (193 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery (4005 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
