He is survived by: his children, David Elder, Jr. (Crystal) of Taylorsville and Michelle Ranee Elder Weaver of Greensboro; his siblings, Dianne Beal (Mike) and Robert "Bobby" Elder (Mary); his sister-in-law Hilda Kennedy (Russell); and his grandchildren, Andrew Garcia, Justin, Hunter and Hannah Matlock.
