He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Vernon and Mae Belle Carswell Cook; his wife Martha Jean Phinney; his daughters, Christy Mae Cook and Maggie Dagenhart; his sister Wanda Hollifield; and his brother-in-law Johnny Swink.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Cook (Pam) and Regina Little (Troy); his stepsons, Todd Phinney (Donna) and Wesley Phinney; his sisters, Daisy Ollis (Doug) and Faye Swink; his grandsons, Trevor Cook (Risa) and Justin Cook; his stepgrandchildren, Matt Phinney (Misty), Christopher Phinney, Madison Phinney and Nathan Phinney; and his close friends, Bill Gowings and Rick Harrington.
