It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clifford Chapman Ferguson (Taylorsville, North Carolina), who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Ferguson and Thelma Ferguson; his sisters, Linda Dagenhart and Rita Ferguson; and his former wife Dorothy "Dot" Ferguson.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Gilreath; his children, Charles Ferguson, Reba Pennell, Alan Ferguson (Teri), Debbie Messer (Jim) and JoAnn Bean; his stepson Jim Gilreath (Michelle); his grandchildren, Hannah Pennell, Holly Sweet (Jamey), Alanna Robinson (Andrew), Grey Ferguson, Garon Bean, Luke Bean and Chandler Bean; his stepgrandson Gil Gilreath; and his great grandchildren, Jordyn Sweet, Elijah Sweet and Cayson Bean. He is also survived by nieces, nephews & several cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
