He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Johnson and Blanche Chatham Johnson; and his siblings, Ethel Anderson, Pauline McCurdy, Jim, Royal, Robert, Dave and J. C. Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Charlene Johnson of Hiddenite, Barry Johnson of Taylorsville, Terry Johnson of Hiddenite and Bobby Johnson (Teresa) of Hiddenite; his grandchildren, Brad Marrs (Laura) of Taylorsville, Heather Bentley (Devin) of Taylorsville, Aaron Johnson (Madison) of Taylorsville, Jeremy Johnson of Statesville, Bryan Johnson (Brittany) of Hickory, Michelle Johnson of Catawba and Jonathan Elliott (Amber) of Hickory; his great grandchildren, Alex Johnson, Ethan, Emily Marrs, Sophia, Sawyer Bentley, McKenzie Bennett and Brody Elliott; and his sister Hazel Morton. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
