He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley A Root Sn and Marion Eldridge Root; and his brother James E. Root. He is survived by: his son David C. Root Sn (Pamela) of Taylorsville; his siblings, Vernon Root of Fl and Wanda Roy of Fl; his grandsons, David, Adam and Derrick; his stepgrandson DJ Fox; and his great grandchildren, Ankin Kannon and Brayden Brennan.
