Carolyn Matheson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Matheson of Taylorsville, North Carolina, born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Brinkley and Stella Gwaltney Brinkley; her husband Earl Junior Matheson; her siblings, Harold (Marie Brinkley), Lynn (Pat Brinkley) and Lorene; her brother-in-law Boone Icenhour; and her sister Katherine Hagwood of Virginia Beach, VA.
She is survived by: her son Michael Matheson (Karen); her granddaughter Nicole Simerly (Jamie); her great grandchildren, Caleb Simerly and Hannah Simerly; her stepgrandsons, Phil Mundy and Brad Mundy (Liz) of Hickory; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Sarah Mundy, Zach Mundy, Ella Mundy and Axel Mundy.
