It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonita Kay Smith of Taylorsville, North Carolina, born in Bud, West Virginia, who passed away on June 8, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ernest and Helen Juanita Lane (Bishop); her husband Denny H. Smith, Sr.; her son Mark A. "Boomer" Smith (Rebecca Dawn "Becky"); and her brothers, William "Billy" Ray, Ernest Gene, Edward Dean and Ricky Arden Lane.
She is survived by: her children, Jeannie R. Johnson (Ken) of Taylorsville, NC and Denny H. Smith, Jr. (Teresa) of Bumpass, VA; and her grandchildren, Katelyn Neal (Justin) of Orange, VA, Sierra Smith of Bumpass, VA, Brandon Miller (Micheala) of Man, Taylor Smith of Beckley and Tanner Smith of Shady Spring.
