He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lorene Pennell Barnes of Taylorsville and Thomas Franklin Barnes; his wife Linda Carol Rimer Barnes; his brother Robert Barnes; his siblings-in-law, Gene Chatham and Mardesa Barnes; his children, Chad Lee Barnes (Chuck) of Lenoir, Anthony Thomas Martin Barnes (Aislinn) of Taylorsville, Laura Barrier (Aaron) of Spruce Pine and Paul Bryan Walker (Keely) of Concord; his sister Brenda Chatham; his grandchildren, Annie Barnes, Sarah Barnes, Ashlynn Barnes, JoAnn Mullinix (Chip), Daniel Barrier (Hannah), Dylan Barrier (Amber), Jackson Wood, Paul Bryan II, Bethany Walker, Brianna Walker, Bryson Walker, Grayson Jewell and Lacie Jewell; his great grandchildren, Carson, Caleb, Victoria, Jolie, Scout, Archer and Blaise; his nephew Brian Barnes; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Logan and Breanah Barnes.
