She was predeceased by: her husband Leroy Coolidge Starnes; her daughter Judy Teague; her sister Kathrine Carter; her grandson Jason Starnes; her great grandchild Jamie Elder; her great great grandchild Kayden Vanover; and her son-in-law Steve Grant.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Starnes, Doris Bolton of Conover, Gail Scott of Claremont, Mary Jo Grant of Stony Point, Jerry Starnes, Junior, Cecil and Larry Starnes of Taylorsville. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one expected great-grandchild and one great-great grandchild, one sister.
