He was predeceased by: his parent Unie Alice Lowman Gantt; his stepfather Barney Silas Gantt; and his brother David Gantt. He is survived by: his sisters, Alice White (Bobby) of Taylorsville and Mary Hamby of Lenoir; his nephews, Bryan White of Stony Point, Jason White (Sarah) of Hickory and Brian Gantt of Lenoir; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, William Gantt of Lenoir, Mebane, Harper, Larkin, Causey and Gibson White of Hickory.
