He is survived by: his son Ben Gibson of Asheville; his siblings, Robert Gibson (Sue) of Taylorsville, Lisa Snyder of Hiddenite and Deborah Gibson of Wilkesboro; his aunt Sharon Greathouse of Taylorsville; his close friend Megan Miller; his stepfather Roscoe Mullins; his stepbrother Kevin; and the mother of his child Paula Allen. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
