She was predeceased by: her parents, Osie Columbus Barnes and Bessie Walker Barnes; her husband Deal; and her siblings, Keither Barnes, D. V. Barnes, O. C. Barnes Jr., Leon Barnes, Evelyn Childers, Ophelia Sherrill, Jean Cook and Kathy Barnes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Deal and Rita Johnson (Steve); her grandson Eric Johnson; her siblings, Betty Icenhour, Joyce Watts (Jimmie) and Jack Barnes (Scottie); and her sister-in-law Barbara Barnes.
