He is survived by: his wife Ides Pettaway; his children, Carlton Brown of Virginia, Shaunta White of Tarboro, NC and Katina Daniels of Greenville, NC; and his siblings, Reggie Pettaway of Tarboro, NC, Richard Pettaway of Tarboro, NC, Joe Pettaway of Tarboro, NC, Clarence Pettaway of Tarboro, NC, Patricia Whitehead of Newport News, VA and Minnie Hines of Tarboro, NC. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
