He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Starling and Eva Carter Starling; and his siblings, Edna Starling Godwin (Cecil) and J. W. Starling. He is survived by: his wife Faye Keene Starling; his sisters, Virginia Hoppes (Richard) and Rudine "Dink" Maidon; and his close friend Carol Proctor. He is also survived by the many nieces and nephews.
