He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward and Iva Dean Furlough; his siblings, Edward Earl Furlough, Sarah Francis Purvis and Ollie Louise Swain; and his daughter Sarah Elizabeth Furlough.
He is survived by: his wife Willie Carol Furlough; his daughter Carol Furlough Ruffin (Ken); his granddaughters, Callie Ruffin Jones (Alex) and Molly Morgan Ruffin; and his siblings, Lenard Rae Furlough (Evelyn), Pollie Furlough Griffin (Julian) and Linda Furlough Edmondson (Sammy).
