He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas L. Tolson, Sr. and Effie Proctor Tolson; and his siblings, Nora Tolson Flanagan, Eva Tolson Sugg, Thomas Lester Tolson, Jr., William Dock Tolson, Fred Lewis Tolson and Joe Pat Tolson.
He is survived by: his wife Dottie Tolson; his daughter Bonnie Tolson Baldassano (Bill); his grandson Matthew Baldassano; his brother Norris Tolson of Pinetops; his siblings-in-law, Norfleet Sugg, Joyce Tolson, Amy Tolson, Linda Snyder and Anne Tolson; and his parents-in-law, Shirley Boseman, Barbara, Roger Everett and Ricky Boseman. He is also survived by cousins and many nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 730 W. Wilson St., Tarboro, NC 27886.
