With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mavis Watson of Tarboro, North Carolina, who passed away on September 2, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Ray Watson; her daughter LuAnn Bridgers; her parents, Joe Bass and Lena Windham Bass; and her siblings, Joe Bass, Jr., Dolly Jones, Marie Mozingo and Daisy Morris.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Watson Goff (Donnie) of Bethel; her son-in-law Kenneth Bridgers of Macclesfield; her siblings, Rosa Proctor (Wayne) of Castalia, Betty Ivey of Winterville and Roderick Bass (Janice) of Williamston; her grandchildren, Carol Sutton (Donald), Mathew Joyner (April), Stephen Joyner (Aftin), Sandy Goff (Meaghan) and Brandy Goff (Kelly); and her great grandchildren, Austin Joyner, Mackenzie Joyner, Kaylee Goff and Bradyn Goff.
