She was predeceased by : her mother Flossie Best. She is survived by : her sons, Eddie Cofield, Jr. (Deborah) of Tarboro, NC, Minister William M. Cofield and James Hyman (Juanita) of Tarboro, NC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hemby-Willoughby Mortuary, Inc. (1800 Western Blvd, Tarboro, NC 27886). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
