She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Knight and Mary Hattie Knight (Jones); and her brothers, Walter Jr., Jesse Lee, Edward James and Vernell Knight.
She is survived by: her daughter Tyra Shernell Knight of Meriden, CT; and her sisters, Juanita Timmons (Knight) of New London, Christine Knight of New London and Shernell Williams (Knight) of Waterford, CT. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a faithful example of kindness and charity to her family, friends and all who met her, making an unforgettable mark.
