She was predeceased by: her parents, James Dickens and Minnie White Boddie. She is survived by: her sons, William Hagans of Princeville, NC and Carl Lee Hagans of Wilmington, NC; her adoptive son Ben Cherry of Clayton, NC; her daughters, Rosa Smith of Tarboro, NC, Shirley Rodgers of Tarboro, NC, Brenda Bryant of Tarboro, NC, Marcia Wheeler of Tarboro, NC, Gail Battle of Princeville, NC and Geraldine Brown of National City, CA; and her brother James Boddie of Tarboro, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
