He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Baker and Melrose Baker; his brother Jesse Baker; his brother-in-law Larry Harris; and his daughter Carol Martinez.
He is survived by: his wife Libbi Baker; his daughters, Courtney Weeks (Matthew) and Andi Barefoot; his mother-in-law Sarah Smith; his sisters, Beverly Garrett (Dick), Brenda Ellis (Jack), Dianne Harris and Betty Faye Baker; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Amber, Melbin, Diego, Miguel and Grayson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carlisle Funeral Home (701 Hospital Dr, Tarboro, NC 27886). A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
