We are sad to announce that on December 27, 2023, at the age of 87, Lena Ann Wilson (Tarboro, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Matthews and Ida Newsome Melton; her children, Ann W. Turner and Richard E. Wilson Jr.; and her siblings, Peggy Jean Griffin, Margaret Newsome, Joseph Harrell Tyler (JR Boy) and Hubert Ray Melton Jr. (Buz).
She is survived by: her daughter Beverly Winstead (Allan); her grandchildren, Craig Williams (Lillian), Richard "Richie" Wilson III (April) and Leeann Whitley (Tyler); her sister Rita Melton Briley; and her daughter-in-law Vickie Lynn Wilson. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild.
