He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Whitley Thompson; his children, Sabrina Denise Thompson Lancaster (Reed) and Kenneth Carter Thompson, Jr. (Michelle); his grandchildren, Mackenzie Shaye Thompson and Gracyn Heather Thompson; and his sisters, Lorraine Myrick and Kelly Stalls. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
