He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin J. Grimmer and Mary Elizabeth Grimmer; and his parents-in-law, Bill and Mildred Brewer. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Grimmer; his son Mark Grimmer (Judy) of Tarboro; his granddaughter Brittany Woodard (Jeff) of Tarboro; his great grandchildren, Mallory, Braylee, Hudson "Firecracker" and Lawson Joseph Woodard; and his siblings, Hubert Grimmer (Kay) of Douglasville, GA, Wayne Grimmer (Audrey) of Tarboro and Retha Pappas (Jerry) of Rocky Mount.
