She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Cobb and Thelma Brown Cobb; her husband Ronald Rawls; and her siblings, Bobby, Ricky Cobb and Carolyn Cobb.
She is survived by: her children, Jesse Rawls (Trish) of New Bern and Karen Godwin (Randy) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Daniel Rawls (Liz) of Charlotte, Rebecca Jones (Ben) of Perth and Luke Godwin of Greenville; her stepgrandson Nicolas Higgins of Winston-Salem; her great grandchild Ava Jones; and her siblings, Frances Webb of Tarboro and Ed Cobb (Debra) of Greenville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
