He is survived by: his significant other Maggie Pittman of Tarboro, NC; his children, James Clifton Powell, Jr. of Tarboro, NC, Juanita Johnson (Terry) of Atlanta, GA and Jimmy Powell of Kernersville, NC; his sister Beulah Mae Williams of Tarboro, NC; and his grandchildren, Terry Johnson (TJ) of Atlanta, GA, Trayvon Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Jasmine Powell of Rocky Mount, NC, Jebronis Powell and Mario Roberson of Franklin, NC. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dickens Funeral Service, Inc. (3690 NC-111, Tarboro, NC 27886). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Free Union Missionary Baptist Church (4729 NC-97, Tarboro, NC 27886).
