He was predeceased by: his mother Vera Stevens; his stepfather Jim Stevens; his father Louis Red Mitchell; his stepmother Vodie Mitchell; and his sisters, Nettie Mitchell and Patrica Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Mitchell; his brother Louie Mitchell; his children, Penny, Scott, Erin, Cheyenne, Joni Mitchell, Kim and Jan Westbrook; his great grandchildren, Isaac Westbrook, Jeshina Westbrook, Alex Boyd (Veto), Brittney Westbrook, Hannah, Haley Westbrook, Coco Hawkins, Aaliyah Hawkins, Ethan Mitchell, Presleigh Wilkinson and Matthew Lewis; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Pollard.
