He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl Jones and Ellen Petteway. He is survived by: his wife Stella Petteway; his children, James Petteway Jr. of Spring Lake, NC, Mellisa Foreman of Greenville, NC and Jamine Petteway of Greensboro, NC; and his siblings, Chester Petteway of Bethel, NC and Etheleen Petteway of Bethel, NC. He is also survived by three grandchildren with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hemby-Willoughby Mortuary, Inc. (1800 Western Blvd, Tarboro, NC 27886). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
