It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Joyner (Tarboro, North Carolina), who passed away on January 10, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Viola and Mathew Vady Joyner. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Joyner (Cynthia Marie) of Rocky Mount; his nieces, Rebecca Lynn Joyner and Tonya Dail Watt; his children, Thomas Edward Joyner (Tammy) of Simpson, Derrick Grant Joyner (Morgan) of Williamston, Daryl Elijah Jarman (Leigh Ann) of Greenville and Susan Raye Joyner of Simpson; his siblings, James E. Joyner Joyner (Esther) of Pinetops and Annie Bullock (Dean) of Williamston; his grandchildren, Austin Bryant Johnston Joyner, Paige Deana Wilson, Terry Lawrence Hamilton III (Haley), Elizabeth Storm Hamilton (Nick), Marlee Rayne Rawls, Sadie Kay, Veda Leigh, Trinity Brook and Aubrey Grace Jarman; his great grandchildren, Adalynn, Peyton Hamilton and KJ Sharp; his nieces and nephews, Katherine, Jessica, Sara Burch, Will Bullock and Dylan Watt; and his close friend Johnny Garris.
