He was predeceased by: his mother Genevive Proctor Paige; and his stepparent Ashley Vernon Paige. He is survived by: his father James Ernest Proctor; his wife Kathy Tindall Proctor; his son Ernest Steve Proctor (Misty); his grandchildren, Marlee Proctor of Nashville and Elijah Proctor of Nashville; his stepson Brian Tindall; his brothers, Wayne Proctor (Debra), Doug Proctor (Debbie), Alvin Proctor, Howard Proctor (Darla), Billy Paige (Jane) and Marc Paige (Barbara); his half-sister Angela Sheppard; his brother-in-law Ricky Sessoms; and his friend Lamberts Cable Splicing Co.
Due to the Covid-19, a private funeral officiated by Rev. Deemus Allen Pulliam for family and closest friends will be held at a later time at Edgecombe Memorial Park.
