She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Robert and Mattie Lee Gladson Taylor; her husband Sellie "Buddy" Joseph Pierce, Jr.; and her sister Betty Jo Taylor Roebuck. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Pierce (Todd Bandy), Greg Pierce of Tarboro and Craig Pierce of Tarboro; her sisters, Sally T. Eastwood of Salisbury, Jenny Sult of Tarboro and Roberta Spencer (Vaughan) of Lexington; and her grandsons, Josh Cruz and Steven Cruz.
