He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin Abrams and Florence Moore Abrams; and his brother James L. Abrams. He is survived by: his son Jerry (Bobbie Jo); his nephew Kevin; his wife Jo Beth Abrams; his daughter Kathryn Dupree (Jon); his grandchildren, Nate Webb, Hali Lassiter (Dillon), Kasi Evans (Isaiah), Harley Abrams, Jarin Abrams and Jaxon Abrams; his son Kevin Wooten; his sisters, Brenda Canady (Ron) and Linda McNeil (Duncan); his siblings-in-law, Teresa Abrams, Rose Wooten-Daniel (Larry), Henry York (Linda) and Carey York (Claudia); and his friends, Shane Barber and Gerald. He is also survived by friends and family.

He also leaves behind many beloved friends, especially Shane Barber, who lovingly chauffeured Gerald throughout the pandemic and his declining health.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pinetops Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
