Gary touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his father Herman Lee Owens; his stepfather Willie Mullins; and his brother Kenneth Owens. He is survived by: his mother Peggy Owens; his children, Thomas Owens and Tiffany Owens; his grandchildren, Landon Owens, Connor Owens, Jonathan Hatchel Jr., Caleb Hatchel, Jayden Hatchel, Keyonna Jenkins and Keymari Jenkins; and his siblings, Lee Owens (Gladys) and Brenda Owens Tucker (Finis). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carlisle Funeral Home (701 Hospital Dr, Tarboro, NC 27886). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
