He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Burnette and Ethel Mae Rivenbark Burnette. He is survived by: his siblings, Jerry, Teddy Pigg, Gene, Jimmy Burnette and Betty Brown; his daughter Elaine Burnette Simms (John) of Whitakers; his stepson Tommy Woolard (Susan) of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Joshua Adcox (Kimberly) of Pinetops, Justin Adcox of Tarboro, Brent Woolard (Stephanie) of Rolesville and Amanda Woolard of Raleigh; his great grandchildren, Anthony, Addisyn Adcox, Garrett and Gavin Woolard; and his sister Shirley Umphlet Smith of Hayes, VA.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
