With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Erdye Joyce Brown Betrand of Tarboro, North Carolina, who passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Erdye Joyce Brown is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Erdye Joyce Brown's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie L. Brown and Lucille Barrett Brown. She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly J. Betrand of Tarboro, NC, Erdye B. Johnson of Upper Marlboro, MD and Erica B. Cureton of Upper Marlboro, MD. She is also survived by six grandchildren with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul A. M. E. Zion Church (1811 W Wilson St, Tarboro, NC 27886).
