He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Farrar, Sr. and Alma Ward. He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Pettaway, Reta Wynn of Fayetteville, NC, Donna G. Pettaway of Tarboro, NC, Lisa Pettaway Whitaker of Tarboro, NC, Melvin Pettaway of Tarboro, NC, Ellis Johnson of Tarboro, NC, James Ernest Johnson of Tarboro, NC, Walter Earl Johnson of Tarboro, NC, Stanley Johnson of Staten Island, NY, Jarvis Pettaway of Tarboro, NC and Tyrone Pettaway of Tarboro, NC; and his brothers, Nathan Farrar of Tarboro, NC, Roxbelt Farrar of Tarboro, NC, Milton Farrar of Tarboro, NC, Bernard Farrar of Tarboro, NC, Clarence Farrar of Brooklyn, NY, Emmit W. Farrar of Rocky Mount, NC and Frank G. Farrar (Alma Farrar Smith) of Durham, NC. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
