He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Boddie, Sr. and Minnie White. He is survived by: his daughter Janice Boddie; and his siblings, James Boddie of Tarboro, NC and Lillie Mae Hagans of Tarboro, NC. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
