It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Carter (Tarboro, North Carolina), born in Belhaven, North Carolina, who passed away on March 6, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Henry Edwards and Mattie Lillian Wilkerson Edwards; her husband Russell S. Carter, Sr.; her daughter Candice Carter Williams; and her siblings, Carl Edwards, Ralph Edwards, Charles Edwards, Jr., Edgar Lee Edwards, Beatrice Quidley, Mattie Jones, Mary Lou MacArthur and Irene Harrell Johnson.
She is survived by: her son Russell S. Carter, Jr.. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
