He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Hancock and Cecil Hancock; his siblings, Ellen Carter Honeycutt and Philip Hurt Hancock; his parents-in-law, John and Aileen Rucker; and his sisters-in-law, Meredith and Jackie Rucker.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rucker Hancock; his children, Jessica Lynn Henderson (Paul Wiederhold) of Tarboro and Bryan Carter Hancock (Lindsay) of Goldsboro; and his grandchildren, Noah of Goldsboro, Mills of Goldsboro, Hallie Hancock of Goldsboro, Ari of Tarboro, Gabe Henderson of Tarboro and Sarah Wiederhold of Tarboro. He is also survived by his family, church family, and friends.
