He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry and Wilda Lancaster Pridgen; his grandsons, Bryson and Watkins Dixon; and his siblings, James William Pridgen, Robert Lee Pridgen, Faye Pridgen Warren and Marie Pridgen Harper.
He is survived by: his wife Miriam Sykes Pridgen; his children, John Pridgen of Wilmington and Jenny Pridgen Dixon of Rocky Mount; his sister Jackie Kennedy of Nashville; and his grandchildren, Zoé, Tripp Little and Vegas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.
