He was predeceased by: his parents, Kerg Staton Dew and Lucille Frazier Dew; and his siblings, Kerg Dew, Jr., James "Tim" Dew, John Alfred Dew, Betty Lou Worthington and Sue Dupree.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Joyner Dew; his son Bill Dew (Sherry) of Tarboro; his grandchildren, Mallori (Samuel Anderson), Brooke (Tyler Phillips), Grant Dew and Briley Griffin; his great grandchildren, Haley, Caitlyn, Brilen, Jenkins, Vin Anderson, Harrison and Percy Phillips; his siblings, Benjamin "Tom" Dew (Ginger) and Margaret Aldridge; and his sister-in-law Betty Ann Dew. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
