He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaston Battle and Estella Johnson Battle. He is survived by: his wife Mary B. Battle of Rocky Mount; his son Donal Ray Battle, Sr. of Rocky Mount, NC; his stepchildren, Tony Brown of Rocky Mount, NC and Gloria Brown Richardson of Pinetops, NC; and his brothers, Tommy Battle, Sr. of Philadelphia, PA and William Battle of Princeville, NC. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
