She was predeceased by: her parents, Ishiah Porter and Mary Della Jenkins Porter. She is survived by: her children, Leon Ewell of Danbury, CT, Rev. Linwood Ewell of Tarboro, NC, Rev. Roosevelt Ewell of Danbury, CT, Rev. Kenneth Ewell Sr. of Rocky Mount, NC, James Ewell Sr. of Tarboro, NC, Virginia Newton of Laurel, MD and Clementine Ewell; and her sisters, Bessie Harvey-Roosevelt of Long Island, NY, Christine Johnson of Lansing, MI and Dorothy Perkins of Princeville, NC. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
