She was predeceased by: her son Howard "Buddy" Whitfield; her father Stephen Griffin; and her brother Stephen "Pete" Griffin. She is survived by: her mother Helen Hamill; her brother Marvin "Nut" Griffin; her children, Summer Pitt, Brandy Boyette, Shannon Whitfield and Zachary Whitfield; and her grandchildren, Harmoney, Cashez, London Pitt, Liam, Justin, Braxton Boyette, Emyah Pollard, Elyjah Pollard, Braylah Mabry, Makenna, Noah, Alaina Whitfield and Jayme Whitfield. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that monetary donations to be made directly to the funeral home (Carlisle Funeral Home) to help with the cost of services.
