He was predeceased by: his father Tommie H. Butler; his son Tony Samuel Butler; his sister Joyce Ann Butler; his nephew Bradley Sessoms; and his mother-in-law Mary Howard.
He is survived by: his mother Hazel Guyton of Bladenboro; his wife Tracy Butler; his sons, Austin Butler (Kirsten) of Tar Heel, Timmy Kersey (Christy) of Garland and Jamie Butler; his siblings, Robert Butler of Elizabethtown and Rachel Sessoms of Bladenboro; his brother-in-law Trey Roger (Linda); his pet Bo Fredrick; and his grandchildren, Payslee and Waylon. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
