He was predeceased by: his parents, Gurney Fletcher Allen Sr. and Doris Beard Allen; and his brothers, Fletcher and Mark Allen. He is survived by: his wife Teresa C. Allen; his children, Daniel Jefferson Allen, Jr. of Bladenboro and Renee Cunningham (Daniel) of Mooresville; his sister Jill Allen of Sunset Beach, NC; his sisters-in-law, Teal Allen of Tar Heel and Pegi Allen of Tar Heel; his grandchildren, Sarah Michelle Allen and Elijah Cunningham; and his daughter Lucrecia (Renee). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
