She was predeceased by: her parents, Hessie Kinlaw and Ada Davis Kinlaw; her husband Hubert Albert Melvin; and her sisters, Lena Mae Martin, Grace Lee Melvin and Alma Fry.
She is survived by: her children, Vern Melvin (Maureen), Kenneth Melvin (Darlene), Nelson Melvin (Wendy) and Gail Melvin Frasure; her grandsons, Stephen Melvin, Jonathan, Melvin, Eric Melvin (Jennie), Kin Melvin (Brittany), Neil Melvin (Miriah) and Hayes Melvin (Will Bruce); and her sister Hazel Gibson. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
