It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborah Lanier of Tar Heel, North Carolina, who passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Evers and Neil Rae Evers; her husband John Dalton Lanier; and her brothers, David and Ernest Evers.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kelly Lanier (Allan Tatum) of White Oak and Melody Lanier Sells (Robert Nunnery) of Tar Heel; her grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Zachery Smith, Katlyn Sasser, Preston Sells, Carley Rorick and Christopher Rorick; and her great grandchildren, Samuel Smith and Noah Sasser. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
